The Renault group has been making cars since 1898. Today it is an international group, with sales of more than 2.7 million vehicles worldwide in 2014. It employs over 117,000 employees and has 36 manufacturing sites. To meet the major technological challenges of the future and pursue its strategy of profitable growth, the Group is harnessing its international development and the complementary fit of its three brands, Renault, Dacia and Renault Samsung Motors, together with electric vehicles, the Alliance with Nissan, and its partnerships with AVTOVAZ and Daimler. Drawing on its French roots, the Renault group is pursuing its growth strategy internationally. In 2014, it made more than half of its sales outside the Europe region, setting sales and market-share records in the Americas and Eurasia regions. Brazil, with 237,000 sales, and Russia, with 195,000, are the Group’s number-two and number-three markets behind France, with 578,000 sales. The Renault group has a market share of over 10% in Europe.
